Choose when photos and videos download

Go to Settings › Storage and Data › Media auto-download. For photos, videos, voice messages and files you choose whether they download by themselves on Wi-Fi, on mobile data too, or never. Anything that does not download by itself shows a download arrow and its size; tap it to download.

A download that is interrupted continues from where it stopped when the connection comes back.
